Join us and Apply today What you will be doing The Tax Analyst is responsible for assisting in the preparation of the federal and state corporate income tax returns.

Assists with special projects, responds to state inquiries and assists with state audits and annual reports.

Assists with the collection of data to be used in the tax return preparation process.

Enters data into the tax return software application.

Produces draft income tax returns to be reviewed along with all relevant work papers.

Creates and maintains tax work papers utilizing software applications such as Microsoft Excel.

Enters data into the tax return software application to produce draft income tax returns for review by managers along with all relevant workpapers.

Assists in the preparation of annual reports.

Assists with the maintenance of the company’s master due date listing.

Assists in the process of gathering information for audits, tax provisions and special projects.

Ensures estimates, extensions and state tax return preparation data is presented to Tax Manager in order to make decisions; provides interpretation of tax law changes and addresses state allocation and apportionment issues.

Works closely with Tax Manager to validate technical interpretations.

Works closely with the Tax Manager to review income tax data; ensures information is accurate, neat and complete.

Occasionally works with internal and external accounting associates and state tax jurisdictions for the purpose of assisting in the tax preparation process.

Performs related duties as assigned What your background should look like Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting A Master’s degree and/or CPA is a plus Normally requires a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience income tax experience Sound understanding of US federal and state corporate income tax principles Working knowledge of income tax preparation software packages.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Strong interpersonal skills; good relationship building skills Strong mathematical and analytical skills Strong organizational skills; attention to detail Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook What AmerisourceBergen offers We offer competitive total rewards compensation.
