You are: A Revenue Specialist who will support the AFS Accounting and Reporting function within the Controllership organization.

You will serve as primary point-of-contact with business operations, and will interact on a daily basis with various departments and levels within the Organization, including but not limited to program management, finance, and pricing.

You will be primarily responsible for coordinating with business operations the application of revenue recognition requirements with GAAP and AFS policies.

The work: Review contract terms and scope of work to identify and document appropriate revenue recognition approach, including approval of accounting treatment memos Analyze contract level results for assigned portfolio and communicate major drivers with cross functional teams Review revenue adjustment journal entries to ensure accordance with GAAP Serve as point of contact for any revenue recognition issues/questions Advise on Estimates at Completion (EACs) with financial and program management Prepare financial accounting deliverables provides to Accenture LLP to support Accenture’s externally filed financial statements Participate in monthly consolidated close and perform mid-month review activities Provide formal and informal training on GAAP revenue recognition principles to other finance teams Execute internal controls to ensure compliance with U.S.

GAAP, AFS policies, and Federal cost compliance rules Support internal and external audits, including review of revenue PBC items Prepare ad-hoc reporting and assist with special projects, as needed Identify and participate in opportunities to continuously improve training, methodologies, tools and skills Here’s what you need: Must be a U.S.

Citizen Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics 3 years of accounting experience to include: Forecasting Revenue Recognition Auditing GL Accountant Contract Review Experience in Government contracting Ability to communicate with employees at all levels (written and verbal) Familiarity with revenue standard ASC 606 and the application thereof Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint Sites Bonus points if you have: CPA or CPA candidate Experience in writing and evaluating accounting policy Experience in creating and providing training Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Detail oriented and strong organizational skills Proven ability to work independently Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment Strong communication and collaboration skills As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.

For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $66,400
