Underwriter Assistant

Description: Our client, located in the Golden Valley area, is looking for the right candidate to start in an entry level Bond Underwriter Trainee.

This person will be the front desk admin and could eventually move into a Bond Underwriting position (1-2 years).

When the role evolves into more of a bond underwriting position, candidates will be dealing with numbers daily as they will basically be dissecting financial statements and recognizing gains and losses.

This candidate will be interacting on a daily basis with insurance agents and contractors via phone and email.

When they first start they will be doing tasks such as Answering the phones Filing bonds Faxing confidential documents Typing up bonds, strong accuracy required Data Entry into company specific programs Working with underwriters on their accounts Assisting underwriters with their bond needs General support throughout the office Job Preview 0-6 months Training 6-12 months Working alone
– Establishing procedures 12-24 months Looking at accounts and working closely with underwriters Employee Value Proposition (EVP) Will allow for employees to have a work from home option after 2 years of employment.

Work Environment This is a small professional office setting that supports customers all over the nation.

They provide insurance for construction projects.

This is NOT a construction company, it is an office clerical position.

This is a hard working and fun group with 20 employees.

Culture is very important, as they do a lot of things outside of the office such as lunches, happy hours, sporting events and holiday parties.

Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
