This position is a Monday-Friday position. Occasional Overnights in Emergencies. Regular driving route is in Southern California.

Job Title: Regional Transportation Driver
FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary:
Delivers and transfers goods and products to different locations within different cities, as directed by the Regional Transportation Manager, using company-provided trucks. Must be in possession of a current Class A License, with minimum 2 year experience driving Class A Trucks preferred. May not have any Driving under the Influence convictions. Position is primarily based out of Los Angeles, California.

Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a Class A License and complies with all Federal Regulations.
1. Keeps accurate driver logs
1. Logs must be filled out completely and accurately
2. Logs must be submitted to the Regional Transportation Manager by Friday each week.
2. Does not work or drive longer than Federal Regulations allow – Intrastate Truck Drivers – 13 CCR 1212.5(a)
1. May not drive more than 12 hours in a work period
2. May not drive after the 16th consecutive hour from first coming on duty
3. 10 consecutive hours off duty required to re-qualify a new work period
4. May not drive after having been on duty 80 hours in any eight-consecutive day period.
Note – The eight day cumulated total may be reset to zero with the beginning of any off-duty period of at least 34 consecutive hours (34 hours restart)

Must inform the Regional Transportation Manager within a reasonable time before the limits are reached to allow for adjustments in scheduling and routes to be made.
3. Obtains, passes, and files the DMV a Medical Examination Report (Medical Examination Report DL 51)
4. Follows all applicable traffic laws
5. Submits to random drug tests
6. Does not drive while distracted
1. Must use hands-free communication equipment
2. Does not attempt to perform other tasks while driving (including reading, eating, texting, etc)
2. Transports goods and products between store and other locations along routes as directed by the Regional Transportation Manager in a safe and effective manner.
1. Before leaving each location, checks traffic conditions
2. Any and all accidents must be reported as soon as feasible to the Regional Transportation Manager or General Manager.
3. Any variations to schedule must be documented and report to the Regional Transportation Manager in a timely manner.
3. Assist with loading and unloading the Truck at each different stop
1. Using hands-free company equipment, calls ahead to let the store locations know of his upcoming arrival 20-30 minutes prior.
2. Coordinates deliveries with Shipping and Receiving Team Members
3. Ensures delivery of products is accurate and thorough; products for a specific location are delivered to that location only; ensures items are not lost or delivered to the wrong location
4. Operate an electric pallet jack and hand truck to facilitate moving large and/or heavy products.
5. Reports any incidents to the Store Manager and the Regional Transportation Manager
4. Preforms regular inspections of Truck and informs Regional Transportation Manager of any operational or maintenance issues with the Truck.
1. Records all inspections
2. Fuels up truck as necessary using the company credit card
3. Ensures truck is clean, cabin is organized, and in good working order
4. Reports any mechanical, documentation and registration issues immediately to the Regional Transportation Manager.

1. While performing the duties of this Job, the Team Member is regularly required to sit for long periods of time while driving a Truck. Team Member is also required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
2. The Team Member is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
3. The Team Member is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
4. The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, especially while loading and unloading truck.
5. The Team Member must frequently move items over 50 lbs. using a pallet jack or hand truck.
6. Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
7. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
