Position Hours: 1st shift, 4a.m.-2:30p.m., 4×10 hr days, Monday – Thursday Position Location: 177 East County Rd B, St Paul, MN 55117 WHAT YOU’LL DO Assemble complex tissue heart valves in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures.

Utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measuring equipment, microscopes and test fixtures.

Work with peers, trainer, group lead, supervisor, and engineers to resolve line issues and suggest improvements.

Maintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to clean room environment practices and procedures.

Maintain accurate documentation records related to quality, work in progress, test results, and special projects.

Adhere to and support general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, QSR and FDA regulations.

Reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for hand sewing tissue heart valves in accordance with approved manufacturing and quality inspection procedures Is responsible for ensuring the tissue and all compliant valve materials used in end product, successfully meet all planning based on design, testing, verification, validation for new and existing products, and support of team members Responsible for reporting results to the management team, team members, and any investigative auditors regarding issues that could impact quality, efficacy, or safety of the product Must work well in a team environment and be able to assess the work and environment for improvement possibilities Sustained concentration and high-sensory coordination is required to utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measuring equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures Work tasks have a high level of complexity Working environment (clean room) requires strict adherence to protective equipment, such as cleanroom gowns, masks, gloves, head, and shoe coverings Will work with animal tissue (porcine and/or bovine) and various chemicals Will actively participate in safety and continuous improvement (CI) projects Must be flexible based on the needs of the business Will assist by mentoring new Tissue Valve Specialists Must consistently achieve target time/yield expectations EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING High School Diploma / GED required Minimum 2 years related experience Attained certification internally based on Manufacturing Process Ability to work with very small, detailed work; use of microscope; sewing WHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
