Overview: We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Tester to join our multidisciplinary team responsible for developing next generation dental products and sustaining existing dental products.
Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work closely with the Software Quality Assurance and Software Development teams, and have experience with tools and methodologies used for software testing in a cloud and/or embedded environment.
Responsibilities: Designs, develops, and performs mechanical or materials tests on prototypes and on new and existing products.
Works with Engineering and Design staff to determine what end results need to be and designs and builds tests using complex tools and equipment based on need.
Captures and records testing data and writes test reports to document product performance and notes issues that need to be addressed.
Provides input and recommendations for improvements to Engineering and Product Development based on technical knowledge.
Provides mentorship and leadership to Engineering Technicians.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or approximately five years of practical experience in a related field with technical competence and theoretical knowledge similar to that of a BS in Engineering degree.
Proficiency with lab skills, test mechanics, and a basic understanding of machining parts.
Experience with 3D CAD tools, test robots, PLC controllers, and other lab test instrumentation.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to follow safety guidelines.
