Job SummaryAmentum is seeking an entry level or early career analyst to support the Consulting Group in our Aiken, SC office.The position will be filled at a level commensurate with the selected candidate’s education and experience and will report to the Emergency Services Manager.The analyst position provides support to a wide-range of clients, primarily nuclear facilities, in the development of technical reports across a range of disciplines including emergency management, accident analysis, hazard analysis, risk assessment.
The work products typically involve evaluating a wide spectrum of threats, hazards, emergency conditions, and hazardous materials (radiological, chemical, biological).In addition, the incumbent will contribute to the growth and expansion of the Emergency Services Program.Essential Responsibilities:Develop technical reports and calculations to support the needs of the client, in accordance with applicable regulations.Provide solutions to complex issues/problems using in-depth analytical processes and technically sound strategies.Forge strong partnerships with our clients to support their immediate and long-term needs.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline from a four-year accredited college or universityCandidate must be eligible to obtain a DOE Q clearance and access to Commercial Nuclear Facilities.Candidate must be able to travel on business as needed.Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen.Dual Citizenship not permitted.Willingness to learn new subject areas and be flexible in assignments.Ability to perform as part of a team.Creative problem solver.Ability to meet challenging deadlines.Customer-focused attitude.Advanced abilities with Microsoft Office Suite.Additional Requirements (Experienced Level)2-7 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of years of work experience and education.Demonstrable experience in one or more hazards analysis techniques.Preferred Qualifications Experience with accident/hazards analysis processes.Experience with hazardous material consequence evaluations.Experience with developing engineering calculations.Experience with Department of Energy nuclear safety or emergency management disciplines.
