Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success performing in analytics projects, including in the following areas:
– Applying programming/coding languages in projects such as R (required), Python, SAS, Stata, SQL. Preferred experience with machine learning libraries for R and Python;
– Applying statistical functions in projects such as linear and nonlinear regression, random forest, survival analysis, and clustering;
– Developing data visualizations in Shiny, Tableau, Spotfire;
– Analyzing large and complex data sets, including a demonstrated thorough aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses; and,
– Presenting the valuable insights generated from complex data set analysis through visualization techniques.

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences R&D, preferably obtained through one or more of the following: – Academic coursework or academic scientific research;
– Direct work within the industry (e.g. pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, biotechnology, generics, medical device, instrumentation, and diagnostic companies)
– Contract service organizations to the industry (e.g. CRO),
– Regulatory health authorities / agencies overseeing the industry (e.g. FDA),
– Non-profit organizations supporting life sciences scientific advancement;
– Government agencies supporting life sciences scientific advancement (e.g. NSF, CDC) Analyst / research / benchmarking companies covering the industry (e.g. CMR/KMR); or
– Consulting companies delivering to the industry, Organizations representing the industry (e.g. PhRMA).

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader on project engagements and project teams, including the following areas:
– Understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback;
– Identifying and addressing client needs, which includes the following: building solid relationships with clients; developing an awareness of Firm services; approaching client in an organized manner; delivering clear requests for information; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor; and,
– Prioritizing and handling multiple tasks; researching and analyzing pertinent client, industry, and technical matters; utilizing problem-solving skills; and, communicating effectively in written and verbal formats to various audiences (including various levels of management and external clients) in a professional business environment.
