TECHNOLOGY ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE MANAGEMENT ANALYST

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Technology & Innovation’s Technology Organizational Change Management Analyst will support the division’s organizational development practices, including technology communications and organizational change management.The Analyst role will be responsible for the development and execution of T&I’s deliverables related to tech strategy, organizational transformation and tech communications.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, development of strategic and project communications, organizational change plans and driving engagement and adoption of key technology initiatives across the bank.

The ideal candidate will be able to independently lead, collaborate and consult on internal change communication efforts for strategic programs, technology projects or other organizational initiatives.

They will have the ability to translate complex, technical changes and craft business-friendly, human-centric messages.The ideal candidate will develop and maintain change management strategies, plans and key messages that support with the bank’s goals and technology strategy.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills and can translate complex, technical topics into human-centric, business-friendly content.

They will be able to produce engaging and concise presentations for executives, senior management and other internal and external audiences.

All deliverables produced by the candidate should align with overall guidance and framework as outlined by the Tech Strategy & Planning team, as well as other City National stakeholder teams (i.e.

Marketing, Enterprise Project Management office, etc.).The candidate must be detail-oriented, a self-starter and innovative.

They will have an affinity for individual ownership of outcomes, engagement with project management teams and be willing to drive continuous process improvement.The candidate will work closely with the Office of the CIO and the Senior Leadership Team, engage strategic business partners to collaborate and drive awareness around key strategic initiatives and follow set processes and guidelinesThis role is highly visible and demanding, requiring diligent organization, attention to detail and targeted, agile mindset.

We are seeking candidates who can see deliverables through end to end, regardless of ownership.

Technology and Innovation Division
As a member of City National’s Technology & Innovation group, you will drive, develop, and maintain solutions for clients and colleagues.

This is an exciting time of technology advancement and innovation across the bank, particularly within our technology teams.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Candidate will provide change management communications support for high visibility, high impact changes originating across various teams within the division.

  • Conduct interviews to assess changes, stakeholder impact, change readiness and develop change communication plans in coordination with implementation team.

  • Coordinate large audience email distributions following internal processes and standards; candidate will define and align divisional communication guidelines to bank standards, including writing, style and branding guidelines, and applicable governance.

  • Track and maintain calendar of events and communications across division to maximize reach and open rates from messages generated from various teams.

  • Coordinate and moderate events and continuous learning forums across the division, including Town Halls, monthly Senior Leadership Q&A forums and team showcases.

  • Maintain department intranet site and continuous training for site owners across the division; document processes, standards and guidelines for site owners.

  • Identifies and establishes additional channels to disseminate information and thought leadership across the division (i.e.

    newsletters, podcasts, Thought Leadership Blogs)

  • Create process documentation, identify key performance indicators and track communication effectiveness across various communication channels.

  • Collaborate with program or project managers to align timelines and communication deliverables with program or project managers.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in communications, copywriting, copyediting, marketing/PR or similar experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in financial services and/or tech industry
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in organizational change management, strategic planning, project management, or similar experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in event planning, coordination

Skills and Knowledge

  • Microsoft 365 Suite (SharePoint Online, Teams, PowerApps, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining intranet sites using SharePoint
  • Intermediate level skills in Excel, Visio preferred
  • Experience in developing presentations and reports for senior leadership, executive management a plus
  • Understanding or willingness to learn technology and organizational strategy development and execution
  • Experience coordinating department events
