Team Lead (Cannabis)

Our Team Leads provide best-in-class customer engagement and drive sales.

You will be an important influence in driving the store’s profitability by guiding our team members in delivering a positive and friendly experience by engaging our customers through thoughtful conversation and exceptional service.

As Team Lead, you will adhere to and enforce all compliance regulations governing the purchasing and selling of Cannabis and Non-Cannabis products and oversee all facets of policy and procedures and operational administrative duties in relation to the store.

Our Team Leads model the way by leading and inspiring the team.

They train and develop the team in core competencies of service and product knowledge.

You will assume the role of peer mentor in-store with regards to talent development and employee mentorship.

Additional Responsibilities:
Partner with store leadership to educate and communicate hourly and daily goals to drive sales.
Support the development of team members with an aptitude or interest in store leadership to ensure bench strength and succession planning.
Participate in daily department and store meetings and communicate store and company information and directives to the team.
Train in Loss Prevention awareness and oversee the adherence to Loss Prevention practices.
Collaborate with General Manager and Store Leadership to enhance the store environment and efficiently execute all inventory and merchandising tasks; ensure fast and efficient flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
Upholds excellent customer service and a service-orientated culture.
Ensure compliance with all BCC, State and City regulations.

Ensure compliance with company emergency and safety procedures to protect employees and customers from accidents and incidents.

Qualifications Include:
Must have a minimum of 2-years’ experience in Management in a retail environment.
B.A.

preferred, but experience is paramount.
Must pass a federal background check via Live Scan.
Must be 21+ years old.
Experience working in a highly regulated businesses is desirable.
Ability to exhibit consistent professional communication, follow through and problem-solving skills while maintaining a global view of Store operations; use sound judgment when making decisions.
Willingness to grow as a Lead by going beyond assigned department tasks to take on additional responsibilities.
Exhibits strong leadership skills amongst peers and have confidence communicating at the store level.
Previous retail experience preferred.
Previous Cannabis experience preferred.
This position regularly requires working mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel:
This position may require you to travel to corporate offices as well as other store locations for training, learning and development.
