- Prepare federal and state partnership and corporate income tax workpapers and forms
- Prepare indirect tax workpapers and filings, including gross receipts tax, sales and use tax, and other business tax forms
- Gather and analyze data as needed for external service providers
- Assist with identifying and resolving potential tax issues
- Respond to tax notices from various taxing authorities
- Research tax issues and provide analysis using the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, and other relevant authorities/guidance
- Assist with other ad-hoc tax and financial report support tasks as needed (month-end tax journal entries, tax account reconciliations, business license applications, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in public accounting with a tax focus (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience handling multiple projects
- Good written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Eager to develop working knowledge of tax laws as well as tax compliance & research tools, preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with OneSource Express RS and Bloomberg Tax Research (preferred but not required)
