Job Details
Our company is seeking a Contract to hire Tax Staff Accountant to join our team in the finance industry. The candidate must have at least a bachelors’ degree in finance, accounting or economics or 1-2 years relevant experience. The position is a contract role with the potential for full-time employment.
Responsibilities:
The Contract Tax Staff Accountant will be responsible for various tasks assigned by other tax professionals in the company. These tasks may include preparing financial statements or tax returns for clients, reviewing client earnings, assisting with tax audits, filing tax forms and other paperwork, and researching and analyzing tax issues. The candidate may be required to travel and put in overtime, particularly during tax season.
Qualifications:
The candidate should also have knowledge of tax and wage laws and a knack for solving problems and quickly grasping new concepts. Exposure to a variety of industries is a plus. The candidate should possess exceptional time management, attention to detail, and communication and organizational skills. The candidate should enjoy working independently and with a team and be a self-starter. Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Workspace) are required.
