In this vital role as a Talent Scout, you will build and maintain pipelines of future talents to join our Global Commercial Organization.

The Talent Scout will report to the Talent Acquisition Lead Global Commercial Organization and play a principal role in developing and executing the overall talent scout strategy for the sales and marketing organization at Amgen.In partnership with Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, Human Resource Business Partners, Talent Acquisition leaders, and Executive Recruiting Lead, the Talent Scout will gain business insights to create and implement an executive talent scouting program which will support forward looking succession plans and workforce needs as well as deliver talent acquisition advantages via relationship building, competitive intelligence, and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

Drive the talent pipeline relationship by identifying and proactively engaging high potential talents and assessing their suitability for current and future opportunities to join Amgen

Facilitate information exchange to address and identify career aspirations

Plan curated, bespoke events and attend appropriate industry conferences

Develop and maintain metrics to measure success in role and return on investment

Share market intelligence to help shape talent and business strategies

Stay up to date on latest talent market trends, industry knowledge

Proactive creation and implementation of innovative methods to attract executive talent (social media, professional associations, industry conferences)

Knowledge of Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as SmashFly, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, Microsoft Office Suite and AI sourcing technologies

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree OR

Masters degree and 2 years of scouting, recruiting, sourcing experience OR

Bachelors degree and 4 years of scouting, recruiting, sourcing experience OR

Associate degree and 10 years of scouting, recruiting, sourcing experience OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of scouting, recruiting, sourcing experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree

10+ years experience in an executive scouting, recruiting or sourcing role

Executive search firm experience

Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry experience

Expertise in sourcing and strategic talent mapping skills using various strategies via LinkedIn, Google, etc.

Able to demonstrate industry knowledge as well as quickly learn about executive level positions across the different functional areas of the organization

Executive presence, communication and presentation skills

Can gain trust and credibility quickly, maintain confidentiality and integrity

Experience with designing, implementing, and promoting a new process, position or capability

Creativity with both strategic solutions and tactical ideas

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and accommodate shifting priorities

Relationship builder with emotional intelligence and networking skills

Comfortable with ambiguity, self-motivated, persistent and drives for excellence

Attention to detail, organized and accountable

Experience with event planning and attendance at congresses and conferences

Ability to travel

Remote role, can be based anywhere in the US, must be willing to prioritize work hours during pacific time zone as company is headquartered in California
