Talent Acquisition Specialist

Under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist, you will support the complete life cycle of the West Coast System’s offices’ (San Francisco/Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Seattle) Campus Hiring consulting staff recruiting efforts.

This includes event planning and execution, candidate pipeline development, marketing and branding related activities, planning and participating in the interview process, candidate communication and relationship building, and all conversion activities.

You will work with the school specialists, on-campus career services teams, West Coast Recruiting Managing Director and Partners (RMDPs) and Recruiting Directors (RDs), and the West Coast Talent Acquisition team to lead and execute the annual recruiting pipeline strategy across OneBCG, entry-level core business consulting (Associates and Consultants) from campus hire pools for the West Coast offices.

YOU’RE GOOD AT

Drive BCG-wide recruiting efforts at West Coast-managed schools / programs (current portfolio includes 6 undergrad, 4 MBA, and 2 Advanced Degree schools):

Annual budget development and oversight

Coordination of logistics (planning, correspondence, execution) of the recruiting process

Candidate marketing, events planning, screening, preliminary interviewing, and conversion management

Support candidate relationship building; following up on all candidate inquiries, creating positive BCG recruiting experiences by serving as a friendly, welcoming face to BCG

Cultivate relationships with campus career services, campus clubs, and other campus organizations, developing BCG’s brand on campus

Articulate BCG value proposition via candidate interactions, networking events, professional networks, etc.

Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and principles are incorporated throughout the steps in the hiring process, from pipeline development to conversion; recommend creative and results-oriented ideas to cultivate a diverse pipeline

Drive campus conversion activities for offerees

Staff events and interviews with the right mix of consulting staff, ensuring commitments are upheld; manage swap process

Manage annual budget for West Coast’s campus recruiting activities

Ensure recruiting records, global database, and metrics are up to date and accurate; track, manage, and report on candidate pipelines through applicant tracking system

Use the database and other tools to manage data and generate correspondence, reports, interview and event invitations

Provide support as needed throughout the year for local Los Angeles office recruiting activities and efforts, such as the Associate and Consultant summer internship programs, Welcome Weekend, and other various recruiting events and conversion efforts

Affiliate and build a network with local Los Angeles office Talent Acquisition team, regularly attending team meetings

Collect and analyze information and information to evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting activities, providing valuable input aimed at continuously improving our recruiting efforts; monitor and analyze the competitive environment

Lead and execute strategic projects as needed

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Education and experience:

2-4 years of campus recruiting, HR, or relevant experience required

Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization

Flexibility and some travel required, particularly around peak recruiting season and planning weeks; Attendance at key evening and weekend events required

Functional and soft skills:

High customer service and relationship orientation
– strong interpersonal and communication skills, highly responsive, want to deliver great results at all times, able to develop effective working relationships with colleagues across the organization and candidates

Excellent time and project management skills.

You have clear systems and composure to deal with multiple tasks at once, with a great attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when under pressure.

Organizational skills to assist with all the behind-the-scenes magic while providing creative solutions, driving our high-level customer service, and positively impacting our recruiting efforts.

A strong intellectual curiosity.

Ability to work overtime during peak recruiting periods

Technical skills:

Strong computer and database skills: Outlook, Word, Excel (preferred), and PowerPoint

YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll be working with a closely knit team of Talent Acquisition members in Los Angeles and across the West Coast system offices, reporting into the Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist.

Your main focus will be on supporting the campus-focused recruiting programs, and you will also support other local Los Angeles office recruiting activities.

You’ll work with the other Talent Acquisition team members in Los Angeles and the West Coast to back each other up and help each other out when things get extra busy or when someone is out of the office.

The team is very collaborative and enjoys learning and mentoring each other.

Your manager will be a great resource for support and trouble-shooting, and will provide developmental guidance and support as your grow your career at BCG.

You’ll work closely with your local office and system teams as well as various Talent Acquisition teams across North America.
