Position Summary

Maintain at an advanced level the Corporate Network, all servers, and related entities.

Competent knowledge of Windows systems, networks, and related hardware and software.

Experience in multiple areas including Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 iSCSI, Active Directory, Office 365 and SharePoint Administration, Group Policy, Hosted Exchange, Office 365, VMWare ESXi 7.x (advanced skills), Backup Software, Firewalls, Cisco Meraki, VPN concepts, VLANs and LAN/WAN architectures.

Familiar with Azure, Sophos UTMs, and change management.

Provides analysis for problem/resolution.

Monitors, manages, and maintains all system and network technology, bandwidth, performance, and metrics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supports the company’s network environments.

Assists with design, and leads the implementation, and maintenance of all technology related to infrastructure.
Provides support for related systems.
Assists in leading technical direction according to established policies and procedures.
Maintains documentation related to design; utilizes formal change control processes.
Provides recommendations to improve reliably and performance, reduce cost and anticipate company growth.
Makes design and implementation decisions using best practices and a security first mindset.
Provide primary analysis and support of the Corporate IT server logical and physical Infrastructure.
Manages and maintains the corporate onsite backup and recovery processes related to system, network, and remote sites.

Performs as the System Administrator of all cloud backup and recovery requirements of corporate related data responsibilities.
Collaborates with other departments for standards and practices.
Manages and maintains the corporate infrastructure components.
Proactively monitors for performance, load balancing, bandwidth and connectivity.
Patches systems per internal requirements.
Understanding of current operating systems optimal configurations.
Work with a mindset to ensure that company’s policies and standards are followed.
Creates and maintains documentation including diagrams, models, and procedures.
Presents to all levels of the organization technical documents, presentations, and proposals.
Understands and can communicate technical information effectively.
Performs other tasks as requested and required by management.
Education and Experience Requirements
Recent certifications and B.S./B.A.

in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications or equivalent experience preferred.
4+ years’ experience working in a high-availability network environment.
VMware Virtual Server certification.
Proficient knowledge in all areas of Windows system administration and networking including enterprise backup solutions, anti-virus solutions, patch management and monitoring.
4+ years supporting corporate networks.
Knowledge and Abilities Requirements
Excellent business process analysis and reengineering.
Experience with project management best practices.
Familiarity with standard IT practices related to System Administration network maintenance/enhancement, monitoring, and implementation.
Strong desire to work in a team environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in a dynamic environment.
Intermediate level skills in Microsoft operating systems, office products, and email.

Must carry a cell phone during business work hours and on-call hours.
Flexible hours as needed for projects.
Ability to perform duties under minimal to no supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment.
Can work under deadlines.
Work Environment
Noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate.
At times, working conditions may consist of moving and working around customers of gaming establishments.
While performing duties onsite at customer locations, the employee may be exposed to noise levels ranging from quiet to loud.
Has own home office with reliable, high speed Internet service with at least 20 Mbps Down and 5 Mbps Up.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk and hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and stretch.
Employee is occasionally required to move around the office.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The associate is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
Must be able to move, and control 550 pounds with the aid of dollies and tools; able to lift and move 40 pounds short distances without mechanical aid and frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds.
Ability to travel as needed, within Canada and the USA, on occasion for multiple weeks.
The employee may occasionally be exposed to adverse weather conditions.
