SVP Strategy Streaming

Summary

Company Streaming ‘s Strategy and Business Development team is looking to hire an SVP of Strategy to help build and lead strategy for the Viacom CBS Streaming organization, including Paramount+ and Pluto TV. This highly internally and externally visible role works directly with multiple groups across Company, including Content, Distribution and Business Development, Product and Technology, Marketing, Sales, International and corporate leadership to define and execute the streaming strategy for Company.

This role will report to the Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer for Company Streaming.

Responsibilities

This is a critical role with a broad range of responsibilities, including:

  • Partnering with the streaming and corporate leadership teams to develop, refine, and drive the global strategic vision for the Company Streaming Group, including a coordinated strategy across free and pay streaming business lines.
  • Leading, developing, mentoring, and recruiting a small but growing staff of strategy professionals.
  • Owning and leading key pivotal initiatives, defining and advocating for business requirements, and ‘connecting the dots ‘ across Company.
  • Assessing various growth opportunities, including hypothesis formation, financial and business analyses, and communication of findings.
  • Working with Company Streaming senior leadership team to establish key objectives, monitor progress, and measure outcomes.
  • Supporting distribution and business development team with partnership strategy and deal analysis.
  • Partnering with the Company corporate strategy group on cross-company collaboration, including content windowing policies.
  • Contributing industry knowledge, thought leadership and a growth perspective to the organization.
  • Facilitating the flow of ideas and information within the streaming group and the broader company.

Basic Qualifications:

We believe the right individual will have the following skills and experience in order to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor ‘s degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in strategy, business development, operations and/or consulting in the media, entertainment and/or technology space.

  • Ability to operate independently and handle multiple teams and time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and deliver presentations and reports to a variety of audiences, including senior management, internal and external partners, and industry events.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across a large and complex organization with demonstrated success collaborating to solve problems.
  • Deep knowledge of the media and technology ecosystem.
