Subrogation – Paralegal I

Overview AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., a fast-growing commercial insurance company, has an immediate need for an in-house legal assistant to work in our Moorestown, NJ Staff Counsel office.

Responsibilities
• Filing pleadings with the Court
• Filing motions with the Court
• Communicating with insureds re: various aspects of subrogation claims
• Communicating with subrogation and first party adjusters
• Communicating with adverse parties and counsel
• Communicating with vendors and engineers
• Gathering documentation and information from various sources for discovery purposes
• Legal research
• Drafting discovery
• Drafting pleadings and motions
• Review documentation
• Processing bills/invoices from vendors (process servers, experts, etc.)
• Answering phone calls
• Entering info/data into TeamConnect
• Entering appointments/events on calendars
• Drafting & mailing correspondence
• Tracking/routing subrogation settlement checks Qualifications
• 3-5 years of prior experience with either an insurance carrier, subrogation law firm, or personal injury firm
• Familiarity with subrogation, litigation, and/or workers’ compensation
• Working knowledge of TeamConnect
• Previous experience calendaring court hearings and deadlines
• Previous experience scanning documents
• Previous experience filing pleadings and motions
• Previous experience drafting pleadings and motions
• Previous experience drafting discovery
