Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following
- Enter contracts/subcontracts/purchase orders into accounting system
- Ensures vendors and subcontractors are complying with all project requirements (certs of insurance, purchase orders, lien releases, and subcontracts executed)
- Enter and review A.P. invoices/ take vendor calls/research invoices
- Review and enter extra work bills into accounting system
- Certified Payroll Assistant
- Provide liaison support between subcontractors, contract admin, and project managers/project engineers.
- Work with subcontractors to facilitate compliance and process subcontractor payments
- Assist with month end WIP Reporting
- Maintain and organize all files related to job cost management
- Assist with administrative support, contract admin, various projects, etc
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting/cost accounting in the construction industry
- Minimum one year of high volume accounts payable / Subcontract experience required
- General knowledge of the construction field and accounting experience
- Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a team player
- Most time spent in an indoor office environment
- Occasional lifting of files and boxes up to 20 lbs
