Studio Technologist
Mission: Reporting to the Director of IT, actively manage and problem-solve technology user and troubleshoot connectivity issues, and maintain an efficient technology infrastructure to support adhere to data protection and privacy policies.
Objective : Responsible for providing technical support for client-facing creative, producer, and strategy needs, as well as internal facility needs.
Works closely with key stakeholders to research, design, and implement technology solutions for project needs.
Responsibilities:
Technical onboarding
o Set up email addresses and server access for new hires and freelancers
o Provide technical orientation for new hires and freelancers, to include but not limited to, printers, servers, and folder structure
Project file management
o Manage FTP and Wiredrive systems for client communication and file access
o Communicate with producers to ensure seamless access for clients
o Manage physical media including hard drive delivery, inventory, invoicing, and formatting
o Manage offsite archive vault and database checkout system
o Facilitate network audit and air-check recording and digitizing
Technical support
o First line technical support for LA teams working remotely and in office.
o Authorize and install software, plugins, and drivers for all Troika owned computers
o Unbox and set-up new and rented machines
o Provide technical support for freelance computers/devices within reason
o Provide technical support for New Jersey and Dumbo offices
o Support IT director with server room management, including hardware, patch connections, etc.
Presentations
o Prepare conference rooms for onsite presentations
o Supply A/V kit and presentation support for offsite presentations
Technical creative
o Act as a technical innovation thought-partner
o Provide solutions for hardware and software technical needs
Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills:
o Approachable and articulate
o Able to translate jargon as the situation yields
o Familiar with how to utilize software, not only setup/troubleshooting
o Experience and fluency with computer hardware repairs
o Balance prioritizing day-to-day duties with a focus on long term studio needs
o Effectively communicate through email, in person, or in group settings
o Understands the sensitive nature of proprietary material, and regard personal information with discretion and the utmost professional respect
o Shares an appreciation for design and an eye for quality in finished work
o Fibre and CAT6 networking
Experience:
o Minimum of 4 years experience in a technical support role, preference for experience in a fast paced creative environment, agency, or media entity.

o Apple certifications preferred

o Google Workspace
o Creative Cloud
o Microsoft 360
o Oracle NetSuite
o (PC knowledge)
o Deadline Render Management Software
o Cinema 4D with and without Deadline / Red Shift
o Working with FIle Transports tools such as FTP / CommanderOne / Transmit, Aspera, CCC, ChronoSync and how they interface with Google Drive (albeit mentioned above in PFF section)
