Student Affairs Officer III – ObGyn

Description

Under the direction of the Manager of Medical Education, you will be responsible for managing the daily administrative activities of the ACGME (3) residency programs as outlined ACGME Institutional, Common Program, Specialty Program Guidelines for Graduate Medical Education and the governing boards for the Departments of Head and Neck Surgery, OBGYN, Urology, and GME Office. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between the Program Directors, fellows, residents, faculty, GME Office, and affiliated teaching sites concerning residency program matters. You will also oversee all activities regarding the residency program training and supporting the residency program coordinator and assistant program coordinator. Salary range: $55600.00-$110600.00 Annual

Qualifications

* Demonstrated experience in a post-graduate medical education program environment, encompassing a thorough understanding of residency training program requirements. * Skill in working independently with minimal supervision and direction and following through on assignments. * Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines within a demanding, fast-paced work environment. * Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks for support staff, including management of special projects. * Skill in writing and editing correspondence with correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation and with speed and accuracy. * Demonstrated in-depth understanding of database management, word processing, and spreadsheet analysis. * Demonstrated budgeting and accounting skills in maintaining database systems to track funding and expenses. * Ability to make oral group presentations to provide information and explain policies and procedures. * Ability to supervise and train coordinators to meet program administration requirements. * Ability to handle sensitive documents and matters with discretion. Ability to identify matters of a confidential nature and uphold standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times. * Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekend days and evenings, as needed. * Skill in operating a PC including the use of software packages such as Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook, and other online programs. * Working knowledge of University and Procedures in regards to Medical Education All Required * Experience in planning and implementing policies All Required 1 * Ability to work remotely and in the office as required All Required * Knowledge of scheduling and database systems, OnCall/Amion, Medhub, BOX, UCLA Page Operators * Ability to use specialized educational software to record PowerPoint presentations with audio and complete the video processing of the lectures. * Skill in creating print materials such as flyers, brochures, posters and handouts to be viewed by faculty, trainees, community physicians, and the general public with correct grammar and accuracy. * Skill in coordinating meetings, exams, lectures, and some events by determining place, time, and arranging catering, parking, etc. * Skill in speaking clearly and distinctly in response to telephone inquiries about the programs, conferences, special events, and physician referral. * Knowledge of basic math to compile and construct financial tables, charts, and graphs All Required * Experience planning and implementing educational programs related to trainees.
