No holidays, no call, no weekends.

Oversees and maintains the DNV/Primary Stroke Center certification, which includes programmatic implementation, oversight and evaluation of stroke response processes, protocols and algorithms, quality measures and stroke patient care coordination in conjunction with the Medical Director(s).

Oversees and maintains the DNV/Primary Stroke Center certification in collaboration with the Director of Neuroscience Programs, Medical Directors and Neuroscience Program Coordinator.

This includes submission of applications, reports, action plans and coordinator of onsite joint commission certification visits.

In collaboration with the Medical Director, sets annual goals for the program, which includes development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies to achieve the annual goals.

Works with Medical Directors and physician leadership in the Emergency Department to ensure current Clinical Practice Guidelines are incorporated into the response processes, protocols and algorithms.

Co-chairs regional and on-site stroke committee meetings with the Medical Directors.

Supports and ensures committee completes all work assignments.

Establishes, implements and/or assists with the development and review of the stroke program policies, procedures and order sets.

Collaborates with Director of Neuroscience Program and Director Quality to create the quality plan.

Facilitates improvements in quality outcomes through the hospital quality improvement process.

Reports quality data to the Quality and Safety Council annually.

Provides oversight of data analysis and reporting, including tools used for rounding, concurrent review and tracers.

Ensures Medical Director accountabilities are met.

Ensures the educational requirements for the staff, Medical Directors, core team, and other disciplines are completed to meet regulatory guidelines.

Ensures community and EMS education is completed per regulatory guidelines.

Scheduled Hours Full time working 40 hours per week between 2 sites Aurora Lakeland Medical Center and Aurora Medical Center Burlington with some flexibility for remote work.

Licenses & Certifications Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.

Degrees Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Required Functional Experience Typically requires 5 years of experience in nursing, program coordination, project management and working with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines.Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) or similar products.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with physicians, patient and other health care staff.Ability to work independently.Certification AddendumTeam members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications (e.g.DNV, CARF or others).
