Job Summary:The Walt Disney Company’s Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) is a global business segment that brings together the Company’s best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams.
DMED is responsible for the monetization of Disney’s content around the world.
This entails P&L management and operation of the Company’s portfolio of streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and the upcoming international general entertainment offering, Star; its U.S.
linear television channels and the ABC-owned stations; theatrical film distribution; content licensing and distribution; and global advertising sales.
Using a wealth of consumer insights from across The Walt Disney Company, DMED makes content investment and distribution decisions to maximize audience engagement and commercial impact across platforms, collaborating with creative leaders in Disney’s Studios, General Entertainment, and Sports organizations.
DMED Strategy and Business Development is a team of professionals with backgrounds in consulting, investment banking, private equity, media & entertainment, and technology who serve as in-house advisers to the DMED segment’s executive leadership.
Examples of work the group has led recently include: Developing long-term financial plans and international expansion plans for Disney’s suite of direct-to-consumer services (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and the upcoming international general entertainment offering, Star ) Defining content investment strategies across media distribution outlets including theatrical, linear networks, and direct-to-consumer Modeling the release of theatrical films through alternative windows and distribution outlets Assessing potential partnerships for our direct-to-consumer services Creating materials for Board of Directors meetings and Investor Day presentations to share the segment’s strategy with the Board and the investor community Responsibilities:You will…
