Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Industrial Infrastructure and Water for Industry team in Los Angeles, CA; Indianapolis, IN; Atlanta, GA; or Highlands Ranch, CO.

As a Project Engineer, you will manage projects and develop project pursuits within the local and national Industrial Infrastructure market, to help build and deliver for our clients.

You will participate in interdisciplinary Industrial Infrastructure teams to deliver high quality detailed designs and constructed projects to our clients.

Our current portfolio of growth opportunities falls within our Water for Industry practice, so an advanced understanding of the industrial water and wastewater field is a prerequisite. 

Role accountabilities:

  • Assisting with the development of design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design and engineering plans and specifications, as well as construction administration for a variety of projects.
  • Researching feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications and developing feasibility reports.
  • Working effectively with local, national, and global technical and client teams. 
  • Developing visual, graphical, and tabular summaries of environmental data and trends
  • Coordinating work schedules with subcontractors
  • Conducting project-related research (historical data, regulations, etc.)
  • Working effectively and collaboratively in team situations and establishing strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists
  • Travelling (25%): assisting in the field with investigations and sampling, conducting pilots and full-scale treatability efforts, and participating in face-to-face client, technical, and other stakeholder meetings. 

Desired skills and experience:

  • Experience with industrial wastewater, facility infrastructure design and other industrial planning, design, and construction engineering activities
  • Experience with NPDES permitting and related regulatory programs
  • Experience with AutoCAD, BIM 360, and/or Primavera scheduling software
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; skills to include
    – public speaking, ability to communicate effectively as part of a team, preparation/development of technical documents, and prior client involvement #

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or closely related field
  • EIT Certificate
  • 6 years of design and engineering experience with industrial infrastructure and water projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Engineering or related field
  • PE license

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rules:

Arcadis offers benefits for full time positions.

These benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401K plan, STD and LTD, and Life Insurance as well as some additional optional benefits.

Full time positions also come with annual PTO days and at certain levels a bonus program may apply.

The salary range for this role is $65,000
– $102,000 for Colorado-based positions only.

Other locations will vary in salary range.
