Our People & Places Technology team serves as the steward of the People (HR) and Places (Workplace) experience in order to select, deliver and support the products that power our talent strategy.
-We are looking for a People & Places Staff Business Systems Analyst who is a user-centric systems thinker who thrives leading both strategic and tactical technology initiatives.
You will contribute to the technology roadmap and execution for -Workday as well as the next generation of broader People & Places products.
You will lead security strategy, design and support across People & Places applications.You are passionate about reimagining how we create seamless and secure experiences for employees, as well as the support teams that enable them, across the employee lifecycle.
You bring best practices and a practical consulting mindset to drive improvements to how we hire and inspire top talent; engage, develop and grow our employees; and deliver the workplace of the future in a secure and scalable way.
-You are a passionate customer advocate first and know how to balance that responsibility along with technical stability, security, and scalability.
You bring that ethos to work every single day, where you partner with business stakeholders, engineering teams, analytics, and leadership to create integrated, secure, and innovative end-to-end solutions.
You have been the systems owner for large, complex technology ecosystems and are energized by coaching other analysts and consultants.
What youll bring
-You have led the security track for at least 2 Workday implementations/upgrades including ideation, technical development, and deployment (experience with other HR enterprise software products also strongly preferred)
-You have demonstrated success as a Sr Systems Analyst owning security requirements in both Core HCM and other HR/Talent/Total rewards areas(e.g.
Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Rewards, Year End Pay and Performance, Learning Management areas)
-You have broad Workday knowledge and have been a systems analyst with security accountability at a large consumer or enterprise software company for 5 or more years
-You are an organized, operational thinker who has a track record of managing complexity and delivering world-class results
-Experience developing and gaining acceptance for proposed security solutions and business cases with senior level technical and business leaders
-You move fluidly between high-level strategy and execution; you are confident giving a presentation to Sr Leadership as well as running a meeting with users and technical SMEs
-You use data to define metrics for initiatives, to measure current state and to track attainment of stated metrics
-You have an innate curiosity and willingness to dive deep into a complicated platform product, and the influencing skills to navigate solutions and bring together disparate points of view
-You have a strong business and technical business background, with academic concentration in Engineering, Computer -Science or other technical disciplines preferred (advanced degree a plus)
-Demonstrated experience creating technology solutions to address strategic business problems and enable real business outcomes
-Strong knowledge of business process redesign principles, tools and techniques
Key Deliverables
-Business and security requirements synthesized from multiple sources.
-Option summaries, impact analyses and gap analyses
-Technology solution proposals and contributions to business cases.

-Configuration, testing and documentation
-System functional and security test plans (may be compiled from the work of other analysts) and execution of the plans
-Data conversion, integration and validation plans (may be compiled from the work of analysts) and execution of the plans
-Contributions and recommendations to technology roadmaps and prioritization of technology solution requirements and associated trade-offs
How you will lead
-Collaborate with users, stakeholders, COEs to understand and empathize with their most important business objectives and business challenges
-Partner with enterprise security, architecture and engineering on technical pain points and security best practices
-Articulate a vision for how technology can be an enabler and accelerator across Workday, Core HCM, Talent, Comp & Benefits solutions
-Develop, synthesize and prioritize user stories, translating business requirements to technical requirements
-Drives business processes and requirements adaptation to leverage out of the box system functionality and minimize customization as much as possible.
-Identifies gaps between existing and proposed capabilities and drives plans to prioritize and address the gaps
-Establish the operational rigor for continuous improvement across the People & Places technology stack
-Assess the security impact and dependencies on initiatives across core business processes, systems and integrations
-Assess level of effort and solution options to recommend and drive holistic business and technology solution
-Guide the overall design of end to end Workday security solutions from ideation to launch
-Designs, configures/builds, tests and deployed Workday solutions
-Serve as the People & Places security evangelist while advocating for the customer every step of the way, including change management and user adoption
-Ensures solutions are scalable, repeatable and effective and that end-to-end thinking is employed balancing security and business needs
-Provides direction and coaching to other analysts, contractors and consultants and leads project teams on Workday security initiatives
