The candidate will be working in a Labor and Employment (L&E) capacity assist the L&E practice group with various projects and tasks on employment litigation matters.
Will be drafting documents, California Style cite checking, witness interviews, discovery, and analyzing agreements.
Working closely with clients, firm attorneys, other Staff Attorneys, legal specialists, paralegals, litigation interns, case clerks, and vendors to service the cases and projects to which they are assigned.
Conduct fact development projects prior to the commencement of litigation/investigations and during the pendency of same.
Support document review when necessary.
Perform California Style cite checking on trial and appellate court briefs.
Assist case team with deposition and witness preparation.
Assist case team with deposition support.
Use of all basic discovery software tools.
Assist case team with trial support.
Support post-trial processes.
Collaborate and assist case team with pleadings and motions, including legal research and writing.
Collaborate and assist case team with written discovery.
Conduct and compile legal research.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must preferably be admitted to the CA Bar, active and in good standing, or admission in another jurisdiction and willing to take and pass the CA Bar within one year.
Should have 2+ years of experience handling California cite checks.
