Intelligence Consulting Enterprise Solutions, INC. is looking for a Sr. Geodetic Scientist. Description: Join ICES on a contract impacting national security as a Sr. Geodetic Scientist. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA. This position requires an active/current TS/SCI security clearance and be willing and able to pass an additional polygraph as needed. As a Sr. Geodetic Scientist, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Duties: * Provide expertise and knowledge of surface and subsurface (ground and water); gravity measurement and modeling; magnetic mapping; reservoirs and aquifers; precision engagement; position, navigation and timing (PNT) systems including global navigational satellite systems (GNSS), inertial navigation, and other innovative alternative PNT technologies and capabilities; alternatives to denied Global Positioning System (GPS) geo-positioning; and experience in weather, terrestrial reference frame, and ionosphere-based geo-positioning. * Provide expertise and knowledge of geodesy; geophysics; gravity measurement and modeling; magnetic field data, sensor, and/or modeling; geodynamics; positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT); alternatives to denied GPS geo positioning; and knowledge of targeting practices, the terrestrial reference frame and World Geodetic System 1984. Required Qualifications: * Active TS/SCI Clearance. * At least 13 years of experience and a Master of Arts/ Master of Science degree in geological sciences, geodesy, geophysics, physics, or quantum physics; or must have a Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Science degree in geological sciences, geodesy, geophysics, physics, or quantum physics and 15 years of experience within a discipline relevant to the work associated with the position. * Knowledge of the science and theories governing the size and shape of the earth, how the earth moves through space, and its potential fields (i.e., gravitational, magnetic) and how all these change over time. * Experience (including relevant Government or military experience) in: 1) measuring the geophysical and geodetic properties of the earth, geolocation determination of geodetic stations, and geological features and formations and their movement over time; and 2) using geodetic instruments to measure and monitor these characteristics as well as how to design or upgrade this type of instrument and sensors or network of instruments/sensors to be more accurate.
