Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking an Administrative Professional to support our Engineering management and staff at our Canoga Park, CA facility.

This position provides overall administrative support to multiple Engineering managers across multiple disciplines, and their staff.

Responsibilities include management of schedules, travel arrangements, meeting minutes and records preparation, special presentation preparation, coordination of special events and meetings, catering services and support of communications to executives and customers.

This position will also be responsible for the collection and reporting of organizational data/metrics, training coordination (course setup, administration, completion monitoring, reporting), and support to other special projects as needed.

This role will require frequent interaction with intra
– and inter-organizational contacts, customers, and public agencies that will require good diplomacy and judgment to resolve conflicting needs, and ability for discreetly handling sensitive personnel and management topics.

This position will also be responsible for maintaining an inventory of supplies with ordering authority that may eventually include delegated buyer authority.

Requirements: Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 7 years of experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

An Associate’s degree and work experience within an engineering organization is preferred.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S.

Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S.

Citizenship required).

Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint and Outlook, etc.) Knowledge in expense reporting systems, such as Concur, preferred.

Must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to remain flexible with constant changes to priorities and managing requests from management and staff, while providing quality results.

Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions and critical time constraints.

Assists management in analyzing and coordinating project planning, resourcing, staffing, quality, reliability, schedule and cost.

Web page design, PLM systems analysis and reporting, engineering performance metrics data collection and analysis reporting skills a plus.

Ability to work with Microsoft Project scheduling tools, setup and management of SharePoint solutions, OneNote setup and administration to support engineering initiatives and projects a plus.Assist to analyze and establish plans to meet key project objectives, and to identify and resolve issues.Assist in monitoring and managing critical department and project information, and schedules.Provide administrative guidance for activities in defined scope of responsibilities.Effectively work as a team member.
