Patients First | Innovation | Winning Culture | Heart Recovery In this role, you will collaborate with the Total Rewards Leader, HR Business Partners and business leaders to help drive, align and implement Abiomed’s Total Rewards Framework worldwide.
Key deliverables are to transfer practical compensation knowledge to the HR Business Partners and operationalize total rewards and compensation programs that comply with regulatory requirements, drive business results, employee engagement and enhance our culture.
Responsibilities Assists in the implementation, and administration of Abiomed’s Job Architecture: job analysis, job matching, job leveling and job calibrations across business units, globally Reviews and processes planned and off cycle salary actions.
Assists in the development of salary structures, annual budgets and matrices.
Partners with HR Colleagues (Total Rewards, HRBPs, HR Operations and Human Resource Information System team (HRIS)) to ensure integrity of data.
Build a consultative and collaborative relationship with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to build understanding and effective delivery of Abiomed’s compensation programs and processes Interprets applicable laws regulating compensation practices.
Assists in compensation strategy planning and individual projects.
Participates in salary surveys and analyzes results.
Maintains database of survey data for analyzing market competitiveness to internal positions as needed.
Applies job evaluation techniques to evaluate jobs and determines salary grade.
Creates & maintain job codes.
Establishes equitable pay rates for new hires and other staff.
Investigates and recommends resolution on classification questions and Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) exemptions.
Audits existing or proposed job classifications to obtain information regarding responsibilities, activities, duties and FLSA exemption requirements.
Leads special compensation related projects Prepares reports and analysis to review compensation issues, extracting and manipulating data as necessary from HRIS.
Assists in the communication of compensation philosophy, performance appraisal/salary review process and incentive programs, as needed.
Maintain a thorough knowledge and competency level of contemporary issues, practices, regulations, and systems applications within compensation and human resources.
Participates in the design and development of automation tools to improve the speed, efficiency and quality of compensation information available to employees and managers Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related experience required CCP Designation preferred Expert knowledge and use of Excel Strong change management and project management skills Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams across countries and time-zones Proven analytical, critical thinking and project management skills Experience with PayFactors or other compensation modeling tool preferred Abiomed is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse workforce.
