THE ROLE The Sr.
Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing reporting and dashboarding solutions for the organization.
This role reports to the VP Data Management Business Intelligence and will work closely with different areas and levels of the business, translating and leveraging our data warehouse solutions into insightful information that could derive into data driven and well supported decisions, support to statistical analysis by the business and accelerate profitable growth for the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Duties and responsibilities) Develop and implement Business Intelligence solutions utilized throughout the company Collaborate and effectively communicate directly with internal stakeholders on a daily basis Solve problems and independently develop high quality solutions by combining knowledge of programming, data modeling and statistics with skillful communication, analytical thinking, presentation and relationship building Actively participate in the Business Intelligence workstream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing, and delivery of solutions Perform analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design, and user manuals Develop policies and procedures for data provisionvisualization and analysis Collaborate with the Data Engineering Architecture teams to guarantee the data processing workflows align with the data deliveryvisualization to the end customer Follow BI best practices and its integration and alignment towards our Data Governance program for successful implementation and maintenance of Business Intelligence solutions BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (The requirements that must be met to fill this position) Bachelorrsquos Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math or Business Systems.
5-7 years of professional experience as an advanced BI AnalystDeveloperEngineer Proficiency in SQL coding and tuning, with special attention to aggregate and window functions Proficiency in Business Intelligence solutions, preferably Tableau (Tableau SDK) Strong experience on Data Modeling perspectives (e.g., Conceptual, Logical Physical) and techniques (e.g., Hierarchical, Object Oriented, Network, ER, etc.) Proficiency in Data Warehouse Methodologies (e.g., Kimball, Inmon, DataLake, etc.) Knowledge and experience with AWS ecosystem (EC2, Redshift, S3, Glacier, DynamoDB, Lambda, etc.) Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Experience in the media industry (not required but desirable) Experience in Data Warehouse and ETL solutions including AWS technology AWS Data path certification(s) is a plus Experience with NoSQL or non-relational DBMS as well as XPath, JSONPath XMLPath data exploration Experience with programmingscripting (Python, Java) Experience in analysis, programing, technical documentation, unit testing and training Experience and ability to lead a team of BI AnalystsDevelopersEngineers as well as work as a team-member and with minimal supervision Curious, self-motivated and autodidact, always keeping up to date with the latest data visualization tools and technologies Organized, meticulous and quality oriented
