Sr Analyst, Product Strategy

What We’re Looking For:
The Senior Analyst, Product Strategy sits on a team at the intersection of Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success and develops business cases to help drive new sales externally as well as facilitate company investment decisions internally. They will support financial viability analysis for new degree programs, often building pro forma models to determine viability and then communicating or presenting results to key internal and external stakeholders. They also will be responsible for owning financial reporting on pipeline opportunities, as well as new tool and
process improvements.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
* Financial Analysis and Reporting (45%): Liaise with University Growth, Finance, Marketing, and other key functions to understand new degree program viability, develop and iterate pro forma models. Pressure test inputs, challenge current assumptions, and drive to a full investment thesis of an opportunity. Maintain accurate financials in Salesforce reports to ensure effective pipeline analysis. Make recommendations about new ways of doing things – new models, new processes, new reporting – and manage testing and implementation of any changes.
* Sales Enablement (35%) Liaise with University Growth, Program Strategy, and Product Marketing to ensure deal viability needs are being met throughout the sales process, balancing sales enablement needs with company risk. Develop pro forma models and evolve our full financial tool set to support a sales narrative. Discern the most critical inputs and sensitivities and communicate them to an executive level audience (internal and external). Own the documentation systems, communications, and version control protocols that are essential to maintaining alignment between the internal stakeholder groups listed above as deals evolve. Manage hand-off to internal program implementation groups to ensure consistent line of sight of viability from pipeline to operations.
* Business Strategy (20%) Serve as thought partner on various strategic projects to drive profitability to business and target new market and product growth. Examples of duties could include performing portfolio analyses, modeling different operating or business models, and leading various pilot tests.
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
* 3-5 years’ experience
* MBA preferred
* Excellent Excel modeling skills and understanding of business concepts
* Excellent analytical skills and data synthesis skills
* Excellent attention to detail and penchant for accuracy
* Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities and manage to deadlines
* Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and anchor to root cause of issue or critical sensitivity of analysis to define problem or approach
* Strong communication skills, particularly creating and telling the business case or high- level story of an effort or endeavor
* Strong ability to anticipate needs and pro-actively innovate on emerging problems and/or escalate potential viability issues
* Good influencing and cross-functional collaboration skills
