Spring-Summer 2022: City Music Office Assistant

In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program.

Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled.

In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester.

This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.

Director for Enrollment and Advising the City Music Office Assistant will provide front line support for the City Music Office.

This is a 15 hour per week position.

The City Music Office Assistant must be able to work between the hours of 9:00 AM
– 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday).

The City Music Office Assistant will also provide administrative support for the City Music Vice President, City Music Senior Director of Operations, and City Music Assistant Director of Operations.Experience, Education, Skills:
•Ability to communicate and interact with a variety of people in an articulate, cordial and professional manner
•Excellent customer service skills
•Excellent organizational skills
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Basic familiarity with contemporary office systems technology including word processing, e-mail and spreadsheet applications
•Ability to move performance gear (amps, keyboards, etc) to and from performance halls
•Photography/videography skills is plus
•Basic social media skills (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat)Requirements:
•Perform Front-line office procedures.

Staff reception desk, answer phones.
•Serve as a mentor for City Music students in the office
•Compose/mail correspondence as required
•Provide office support for City Music Boston Staff
•Set up and break down meeting spaces with and without food service
•Assist with maintenance and distribution of City Music Boston calendar
•Compile and distribute City Music meeting minutes
•General office duties (copying, filing etc).
•Other duties as assigned.
