Special Projects Security Coordinator

Essential Functions:Assist and support the Security Manager with implementation of the applicable Security Program in accordance with all applicable DoD security policies, directives, regulations and instructions.

Functions include assisting the Security Manager with administrative security, classification management, operations security, physical security, industrial security, security incident investigations, and security education/motivation.Assist Security Manager with providing general security support including program execution support functions.Prepare personnel actions and forms to request security clearances and maintain records of such requests.Maintain procedures on handling, safeguarding and destruction of documents and data in accordance with established processes and appropriate timelines.Maintain contact with the Chief of Security, corporate management personnel, industrial and Air Force Contracting Officers, contract monitors and various other project managers for the purpose of exchanging information, obtaining approval/concurrence on interpretations of policy and procedures, updating security procedures and solving security related issues.Assist Security Manager with maintaining active Navy COMSEC account as Local Element for account as required to include CCI/Crypto requirements for testing activities as well as participating in training/inspections.

Assist Security Manager with maintaining active Air Force COMSEC account as COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) for account as required to include CCI/Crypto requirements as well as participating in training/inspections.Assist Security Manager with development and/or implementation of procedures and practices to cover multiple security objectives.Assist Security Manager with ensuring security awareness trainings are conducted with staff and training records are properly maintained.Assist with maintenance and access control of secure facilities/areas to ensure protection of program informationAssist with creation and distribution of security manuals, documents, and records.Process access badge requests for classified program visitors to include vetting security clearances and access requirementsProcess access badge requests for un-classified program visitors to include verifying access requirements and providing escort training.

Maintain security requirements and safeguard proprietary company and customer data.Maintain emergency contact information file for locally assigned personnel.Coordinate shipment and receipt of incoming and outgoing classified and sensitive program data and equipment.Use state-of-the-art computer software programs to support local historical and information management archives for unclassified, classified, and compartmented programs and personnel.Develop and maintain Master Access Databases.

This will include working with appropriate customers to receive semi-annual updates to the databases.Provide administration support of the security orientation, training, education and awareness programs to ensure proper handling and safeguarding of classified and sensitive program information.Assist Security Manager with development and maintenance of Program Protection Plans for acquisition programs that have identified Critical Program Information (CPI) or Critical System Resources (CSR) in accordance with the elements outlined in DoDD 5200.1-M and AFPD 63-17.Assist Security Manager with coordination and support inventory, return and repair, acquisition timelines, current and future deliveries, and sparing for payload systems for various Air Force units, associate contractors, and other applicable organizations.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Current Top Secret security clearanceFive years of experience in Special Access programsFive years of security management experience Must be knowledgeable and proficient with the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsJPAS/JCAVS formal TrainingClassified Courier TrainingAssociates Degree in Management or equivalent training / experienceProficiency with Microsoft Products to include Word, Excel, and AccessProficiency with Adobe Products to include Acrobat and PhotoshopAEVEX provides a full suite of comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k)-retirement plan, comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life insurance group coverage with a portion of the premiums paid by the company, professional development funds, and an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) with counseling, legal help, child and elder care support, among other benefits.About AEVEX Aerospace AEVEX Aerospace, headquartered in Solana Beach, California, supports the U.S.
