About the Position:

Responsible for identifying, selecting, evaluating, and maintaining strategic sources for all product lines as defined by the overall Supply Chain vision.  In addition, this role will manage the key vendor relationships and ensure ordered products are purchased at optimum cost and received within the stated timeframe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze spend for vendors and service providers to define portfolio strategy Analyze inventory and payment terms financial impact (cash flow) Keeping parts and vendors’ master data up to date (data integrity)  Collaborate across the various functions in the organizations to ensure business objectives are met (including New Product Introduction) Assess and mitigate supply risk management Identify, source and develop new supplier opportunities Develop sourcing strategies by discussing how to work with internal customers to recognize the sourcing need and describing the types of suppliers that might be used for purchases Identify, evaluate and select suppliers.

Describes the types of specifications that can be used to communicate needs to suppliers, ways to identify potential sources and the processes and tools for analyzing suppliers and proposals.

Plan, prepare and conduct negotiations.

Explain the processes used to plan, prepare for, and conduct negotiations.

Understand & communicate market dynamics & price movements Develop contracts and details the approaches Responsible for Supplier Relationship Management.

Describes the benefits of good relationships and how to establish partnerships with suppliers.

Responsible for Supplier Qualification and Performance Evaluation Responsible for Strategic Cost Management.

Deliver price saving projects as defined by the procurement manager

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Data Analytics or other relevant fields Minimum 4 years of experience in a purchasing role CPIM/ISM/CIPS or equivalent is preferred Experience with SAP is preferred Microsoft excel (advanced) Must have great: Analytical & Organizational Skills Communication Skills Problem Solving Influencing & Persuasion Data Analytics Excellent Negotiating Skills
