Clearance Required: Secret Certifications Required: SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) AND CCNA Job Description: Roles & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for end to end network monitoring, performance, maintaining acceptable level of network quality of service as per business objectives, network Key Performance Indicators and customer feedback.
• Utilizes Solarwinds Network Management System (NMS), along with other management tools to proactively monitor, manage, and performance benchmark the enterprise network and all network assets operational on the network.
Responsible for major network outage coordination and escalation and directs all activities designed to provide 24 x 7 surveillance and monitoring of the network.
• Configure all network assets in the Solarwinds NMS based on industry best practices and according to network security configuration requirements (e.g., STIGs, etc.) to allow Solarwinds to monitor uptime, availability, and performance against known baseline, and provide alerts for anomalous behavior.
• Employs technical knowledge and experience of Internet (NIPRNet/SIPRNet), and Data, Network operations, as well as experience in developing operational metrics.
• Perform network performance baseline activities and documentation using SolarWinds.
• Performs analysis of day-to-day network performance against baseline measures to identify anomalies and/or network performance degradation impacting the availability of mission enabling network services.
• Lead and participate in the assessment and selection of the network performance and management tools/systems for existing and new network technologies and services.
Required Qualification:
• Secret
• SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) AND CCNA Certified
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience with 5 years leading SolarWinds environments
• Bachelor’s Degree
