#AnimationResponsibilitiesPrepare picture media; import and distribute media (storyboards and shots)Prepare sound media; break down dialogue, conduct music and effects searchesSupervise, log and transcribe scratch recording sessions in Pro ToolsMonitor levels, log and import scratch and production dialogue from recordingsSet up video reference cameras to record talentPrepare preliminary music and sound effects, maintain the production sound effects and music databasesPublish accurate cutlists for outputPublish out sequences to Shotgun as neededOutput digital files (Quicktimes, AAFs, change notes, DCPs, etc.) internally and externally as directedPrepare media and perform Quality Control for sound and pictureAttend screenings in support of presentation quality, operate screening roomAvid daily operational maintenanceWork with Tech to troubleshoot and refine editorial systemsCooperate with other editorial teams when assistance is neededProactively monitor trackers and updates for incoming assetsRequirements3+ years experience as an Assistant Editor, or similar exposure within film production1+ year experience as an Assistant Editor with feature Animation3+ years experience with Avid Media/Film ComposerRequirement to be, or become, a member in good standing of the Local 700 Editorial GuildHigh proficiency in Macintosh OSExperience with Pro Tools, Photoshop, FLIX, Shotgun, Excel & Microsoft SuiteExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong ability to multi-task and take a creative, inquisitive approach to problem solvingMust be able to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative teamStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload in a dynamic and changing environmentAbility to work flexible hours (overtime, including nights and weekends) as necessarySkydance is a diversified media company founded by David Ellison in 2010 to create high quality, event-level entertainment for global audiences.
