This position will be responsible for performing all functions associated with shipping of products and/or materials to Customers, OEM’s, Distributors, Foreign Agents and any other entity.
This position will work in close concert with production control, operational management, and sales to support customer’s needs.
The position requires flexibility in work schedule to meet customer’s expectations on a day-to-day basis.
A general working knowledge of computers and use of will be required.
This role supports the API Delevan team in East Aurora, NY.
API Delevan is part of Altra.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
Matches shipment schedules to customer requirements Generates packing lists, Certificates of Conformance, shipping labels, bar code labels, bills of lading, and any other packaging documentation which may be required for shipment.
Utilizes shipping carrier software systems, such as UPS, Federal Express, DHL and any other shipping companies to generate appropriate shipment documentation Prepares and packages components into appropriate size shipping containers.
Contacts appropriate shipment carriers and freight forwarders when applicable to arrange for shipment of packages, pallets etc.
Maintains inventory of required shipping containers, labels, foam, etc.… Performs daily cycle counts & maintains information Performs receiving transactions within ERP system for raw material and RMA’s Relabels Partner Product items and prepares for shipment Closes out work orders when required Assists Senior Planner with linking & unlinking finished goods to work orders when necessary Relinks finished goods to sales orders when necessary Runs daily shipping reports to ensure all items have shipped as scheduled Assists in kitting raw materials for shipment to subcontractors Assists in any other duties that are critical to the success of shipping or general operations QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED required The qualified candidate would benefit by having a working knowledge of API Delevan products and processes as acquired over at least one year.
In lieu of this experience, relevant outside experience will be considered.
Intermediate computer skills required Prior experience with Oracle or similar ERP program desired Associates must be willing to work flexible schedules to accommodate unplanned shipment needs of customers.
This may require unplanned overtime.
