We use an equal mix of data analysis, strategy, collaboration, and execution to optimize our content and bring readers everywhere valuable financial information.What would you do in this role?As an SEO Editor, you’ll be an integral component in scaling SEO content produced by our team.

As for the day-to-day, well, you’d be tackling many important initiatives.

One day you could be editing content to ensure SEO best practices are upheld.

Another day, you’d be figuring out ways to improve our editorial efficiency while also helping our SEO team with keyword research and optimizing an existing library of content.

Suffice to say, you won’t get bored.

You will also have a chair at the table to define and drive forward our SEO strategy.Do you see the opportunity lying in front of us?

Are you ready to get started?But what does this role actually do?* Work with the evergreen SEO team to edit and publish key content to our team of contract writers, optimizing for potential organic presence and scale through using SEO best practices like keyword optimization, internal linking strategies, and content formatting.* Work with the evergreen SEO team to improve our processes around scaling our strategies for SEO efforts like internal linking, achieving rich results, etc.* Take the lead on onboarding, training, and developing contract writers and editors for evergreen SEO.

Help us improve our processes for efficiency and improved writer and editor experience.* Monitor organic article performance and SERP positioning metrics with a focus on increasing and defending our rankings.* Ensure that our content meets regulatory guidelines and keeps us compliant with our partners, regulators, and our internal legal and compliance teams.* Develop expertise in The Motley Fool’s publishing business.

Thoroughly understand who our competitors are and work tirelessly to generate better content.

Whether it’s presenting our message in text, audio, video, infographic, or smoke signal, our content’s expression will be for you to determine.* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital publishing in line with industry trends, creatively keeping us a step ahead of our competitors.What do you need to apply?* 3+ years of experience in editorial with exposure to SEO best practices.* Proven track record of personal growth.
