Senior Wireless System Test Engineer

Along with its successful MANET product line, the company also delivers on ground breaking research in the area of wireless data communications. The company has experienced rapid growth over the past 12 months and is expecting the rate of growth to continue with the introduction of new products and services. The Opportunity Silvus Technologies is seeking a Senior Wireless System Test Engineer to develop testing infrastructure for and perform comprehensive testing and vetting of Silvusrsquo MANET radios. Responsibilities Wireless communication system test station design, implementation, and maintenance for both engineering testing and production line testing. Design and implement testing software for automated testing and logging. Work closely with the rest of the engineering team and the quality teams to validate new designs and ready them for rollout to production. Work closely with the rest of the engineering team to understand performance requirements and establish engineering and production testing performance thresholds. Diagnosis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production testing failures. Work closely with the rest of the team to improve yield and efficiency of production testing. Support internal and external Quality Audits of deployed test equipment systems. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative Qualifications Must be a U.S. person or U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to clients under U.S. government contracts Minimum Educationmiddot Bachelorrsquos Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related technical fields.Required Experiencesmiddot 3+ years of experience in developing automated testing software.middot 3+ years of experience in testing embedded systems, preferably radio communication systems.middot Experience in electronics manufacturing environment and developing automated testing system. Skills Requiredmiddot Expert skills in C and Linux shell scripting.middot Proficient with RF instruments such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers and typical RF components such as combinersplitter, attenuators, etc.middot Proficient in both Windows and Linux operation.
