Strategic Legal Practices is seeking a full-time tenacious and perceptive Trial Attorney to join our rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate should have experience supervising a team of attorneys and be licensed (and in good standing) in California with four or more years of experience in directly managing civil litigation in both State and Federal courts, inclusive of sophisticated law and motion work.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Draft pleadings and motions (e.g. discovery and case dispositive motions)
• Meet-and-confer on discovery issues (e.g. ESI discovery)
• Pre-trial preparation
• Delegation and supervision of deadlines and tasks
• Take and defend depositions
• Argue substantive motions in court
• Independently manage your own case load
• Ability to develop trial and pre-trial strategy
• Prepare litigation reports and risk assessments • Engaging in discovery, depositions, motions practice, and other pre-trial procedures to prepare cases for hearings • Preparing witnesses for examination, cross-examining witnesses, and responding to evidentiary objections.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and other court appearances
• Oversee discovery • Applying case knowledge and legal skills when negotiating settlements • Prepare, argue and litigate a large roster of cases • Performing extensive technical and legal analysis
• Perform other related duties and meet all deadlines, as required
Qualifications:
• 4-5 Years Trial Experience
• 5-10 First Chair Jury Trials
• Excellent analytical, organizational, prioritization and time management skills, along with the ability to work under tight deadlines and execute efficiently against multiple, high-priority and high-volume projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior drafting, and writing skills, as well as having the interest to analyze legal issues with a solution based mindset.
• Have a high degree of self-accountability and ownership.
• Ability to interact and communicate with judges, attorneys, staff, and clients.
• Enthusiasm for developing skills and experience alongside an evolving business with innovative ideas.
• Experience with and adaptability to new technology and software application systems.
License/Certification and Preferred Experience:
• CA State Bar, in good standing (required)
• Accredited Law Degree
• 4+ years of prior experience
