As a Senior Tax Associate in our Tax service line, you will be responsible for the following:
Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts; also prepare and review related income tax workpapers
Lead teams of junior staff accountants
Participate in planning and scheduling of engagements
Research complex tax issues
Ensure quality of work product
Monitor work-flow
Coach/mentor individual team members
Communicate progress to partners
Work closely with Partners, Managers and Senior Managers to advise clients on income tax issues and related tax planning
To be successful, these are the skills, qualities and experience you will need:
Undergraduate degree in accounting or a related filed
CPA certificate or plan to obtain your CPA certificate
A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a National or Regional CPA firm
Ability to work on complex income tax issues
Demonstrated advanced project management skills
Ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
Excellent research skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs such as Excel and Word.
