POSITION SUMMARY Romeo Power is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join the IT team.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to pull detailed data, analyze it, and provide recommendations based on their understanding of the processes, people and/or system(s) they are working with.
Your project scope will fluctuate based on the business needs, you will be responsible for deploying, modifying, monitoring, and maintaining systems infrastructure on-premises or on-cloud.
You will also have to integrate and maintain cloud-based applications and systems.
Our environment looks like this: * Cloud Solutions & Applications* Office 365* Okta SSO & MFA* Backups* AWS* Azure* DevOps* Mandiant FireEye* Jira* Data Lakes * Windows Systems Infrastructure* Active Directory* VMWare* Storage* Firewall* GPO/Password Policy ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of the infrastructure.* Assists with hardware and software solution installation, configuration, and maintenance following established procedures and change control standards.* Facilitates day-to-day operations activities such as system upgrades, patching, configuration audits, capacity planning, and performance analysis.* Develops and maintains related access of applications in conjunction with on premise Windows Active Directory.* Develop architecture for integration between all related cloud-based applications and tools.* Perform implementation tasks including: configuration, integration, and roll-outs.* Responsible for the creation system/application business rules and monitoring.* Install and maintain all Windows, VMware, and SAN system software, such as Operating System, device drivers, and firmware.* Build disaster recovery plans, with backups and business continuity, for cloud and on premises solutions, multi-cloud, hybrid cloud etc.* Plan transition of other core on-prem systems to cloud for performance and/or cost benefits.* Develop robust hardened infrastructure to support company’s rapid growth.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience* Must have at least 8+ years Systems Administration experience* Experience leading and managing medium IT projects* Extensive experience and knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS services* Extensive experience and knowledge of installing, configuring and maintaining VMWare infrastructure* Extensive experience and knowledge of configuration and maintenance of enterprise on-prem and cloud storage* Extensive experience and knowledge of installing, configuring, and maintaining Veeam/Clumio/Pure backups* Extensive experience and knowledge of logging, control, and access management* A full understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and experience supporting complex environments* In-depth knowledge related to the Office 365 applications and features including Azure Directory* Experience with SSO/MFA integration between Office 365 and other major cloud service providers* Experience with MDM solution such as Intune is a plus* Windows Power-shell experience related to Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and Exchange* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as accuracy and attention to detail* Strong knowledge related to email security and security practices in general* Exposure to patch management, image building (preferably using PXE) Romeo Power is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws or our own sensibilities.
