Senior Subrogation and Recovery Associate

Cozen O’Connor seeks an ambitious senior associate with four to seven years of litigation experience to join its Los Angeles office as a Senior Subrogation and Recovery Associate. Qualified candidates will handle their own caseload of high value property losses and work on high profile catastrophic wildfire cases with partners. Candidates will have the opportunity to get real litigation experience handling their own cases from start to finish, while also learning the disciplines including, but not limited to, fire origin and cause analysis, electrical and mechanical engineering and failure analysis. Candidates should have experience drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs; preparing for and attending court hearings; taking and defending depositions; and communicating with clients and opposing counsel. Some trial experienced is preferred. Candidates with experience investigating, analyzing, and litigating property subrogation and recovery claims and/or insurance industry experience are preferred. Excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are required. California Bar required.
