Senior Specialist, Global Tax Advisory

Overview
Global Tax Advisory – IC3Advises external investment services clients on compliance with tax regulations and the mitigation and monitoring of tax risk.Monitors and researches tax regulations in assigned domiciles. Analyzes and interprets tax research publications to evaluate potential impact on client tax rates and documentation requirements.Researches market best practices related to tax reporting and compliance including those related to transaction taxes, withholding taxes, and statutory taxes.Works with clients and their attorneys and accountants to implement plans to mitigate tax risk. Assists in researching new client types to understand their tax requirements and the impact of taxes in all markets where they are invested.Assists in advising clients on how to best comply with new regulations.Partners with Corporate Tax to monitor the regulatory landscape and may assist in developing recommendations for BNY Mellons approach to regulatory changes. Implements resulting process changes. No direct reports.Contributes to the achievement of related teams objectives. Supports multiple client accounts.Bachelors degree J.D., law, accounting, tax degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
