You will be the technical evangelist supporting customers with the adoption of our products and services.
You’ll play a pivotal role in demonstrating the value of our solutions, helping to close the sale.As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:Owning, shaping, and running proof-of-concepts, beta programs, and pre-sales activities with customers and partner teamsDiving into enterprise architecture discovery and hands-on software configurationStrategizing with and assisting customers as they move to more agile, secure, identity centric security modelsTaking a consultative approach to solutions and solving challenges around next generation security transformationEducating and enabling internal teams and partners regarding our Enterprise solution portfolios to motivate effective sales strategiesInfluencing product roadmaps and ensuring the inclusion of business priorities and requirements of customersDo what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in a related field or its equivalentHave experience working in large, complex customer facing environments with responsibility for the technical sales cycleBe able to effectively present complex and technical material to varying audiences virtually and in-personHave hands-on experience with relevant network, security and infrastructure technologiesBe familiar with technologies such as Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Network Security (e.g.: Firewalls) and ContainersDemonstrate a willingness to learn new technologiesWork in a way that works for youWe recognize that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best can vary for each person.This is a flexible role and may be performed at your home and/or the local Akamai office (in the country advertised).
