We’re looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team here at Indeed.
Responsibilities:
Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) at Indeed are embedded directly within our business-critical engineering teams, working closely with them to design, code, test, run, and evolve the systems that help people around the world get jobs. We work closely with software developers and system engineers to drive adoption of modern reliability practices like SLOs, error budget policies, actionable alerts, follow-the-sun on-call, incident retrospectives, chaos testing, and end-to-end ownership.

Who You Are
Requirements:
BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience writing code in Java, Go, Shell, Perl, Python, or a similar language
Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks
Strong interest in SRE topics like SLOs, resilience, scaling, performance, and more

Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and software design and/or Linux, networking, application performance analysis
Experience designing, writing, and/or troubleshooting software and systems in a distributed, internet-scale Linux environment

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Austin 109,000 – 159,000 USD per year
NYC Metro Area 134,000 – 194,000 USD per year
SF Bay Area 140,000 – 204,000 USD per year
Seattle 132,000 – 192,000 USD per year
