– installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades and retrofits
– according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB processes, standards and safety guidelines.

Reporting to the Service Manager, need to execute medium to high complex service work according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines.

Deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers.

In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB.Your responsibilitiesService delivery: Performs medium to high complex Service tasks like installation , commissioning, maintenance, upgrades and retrofits, repair independently, identifies technical problems and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in different Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacements, upgrades and retrofit, end of life service etc.Customer approach: Ensures customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation.

Creates and maintains a good relationship with customers and understands their needs.

Identifies new sales opportunities and takes influence in convincing the client for the complete service portfolioMaterials and supply: Coordinates, prepares and ensures that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities.

Prepares standard lists for ease of workDocumentation and reports: Prepares all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative.

Reports work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed.

Create standards or job durationsTroubleshooting: Proactively identifies potential equipment failures and proactive corrective actions.

Troubleshoots complex equipment failure and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the futureOperational excellence: Proactively identifies suggestions for product, quality and customer service improvement and discusses them with management for changesHealth, safety and integrity: Actively ensures that HSE practices are of high standard.

Works to eliminate unsafe practices and incidentsProcesses and Tools: Consistently applies functional processes considering links to other teamsYour background4-year degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent with minimum 4 years relevant service experience working with industrial power delivery.Ability to communicate with coworkers, dispatchers, customers & sales managers.Electrical safety, NFPA 70E training, Lock-out Tag-out adherence.Experience & knowledge on low & medium voltage power delivery equipment: Switchgear, breakers, transformers, protective relaying, manual & automatic transfer switches.Experience and knowledge running test equipment and software: Insulation Resistance, DLRO, TTR, Power Factor, Relay Testing, breaker trip testing & High Current test sets.Preferred experience using PowerDB for maintenance reporting.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.BenefitsRetirement planLife insuranceDisability insuranceMedical insuranceWellbeing programMore about usABB’s Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity.
