Los Angeles, CA [and various unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S.] to serve as a Senior Scheduling Engineer for a leading construction and engineering firm.Review and analyze Contractors Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress Schedules on various transportation construction contracts.Provide recommendations to construction staff on the avoidance, minimization and mitigation of construction delays.Review and analyze Contractors requests for contract time extensions.Assist in the defense of contract time-related disputes and claims; dispute and claim analysis, defects and damage calculations, delay, disruption and acceleration impact analysis, and litigation support.Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity, and participate in regular progress schedule meetings with the construction team.Provide construction management, scheduling and project scheduling services for all construction projects on enterprise P6 CPM scheduling system, a construction project management system.Develop or review Suggested Preliminary Construction Schedules during the final design stage based on the available plans, specifications and estimate provided by the project designer.Assist in updating policies, procedures, specifications of guidance related to construction project management.Oversee construction CPM and construction document control databases used for storing and calculating construction schedules and storing and tracking status of construction documents, such as Oracle Primavera P6 and Unifier. Assist users of Oracle P6 enterprise construction CPM scheduling system setting-up projects and assigning appropriate security to construction schedules.Develop training materials and provide training to construction management teams on how to use Oracle Primavera P6 to develop and review construction schedules, Critical Path Method Scheduling practices and Schedule Analysis.Provide program level guidance and reporting for an agency-wide construction program. Use construction scheduling software Oracle Primavera P6.Oversee all construction and design schedules an enterprise level Oracle Primavera P6 CPM Scheduling system for a large construction program with multiple construction projects, design projects, users.Review and cost load construction schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 CPM software. Perform data migration, Organizational Breakdown Structure, Enterprise Project Structures, Work Breakdown Structures for major construction programs.Candidate must have PMI Scheduling Professional (SP) certification.Minimum RequirementsMinimum requirements for entry into the position: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience reviewing and analyzing Contractor’s Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress Schedules on various transportation construction contracts; assisting in the defense of contract time-related disputes and claims; dispute and claim analysis, defects and damage calculations, delay, disruption and acceleration impact analysis, and litigation support; conducting reviews of the plans and specifications; assisting in updating CPM policies, procedures, specifications of guidance related to construction project management; using Oracle Primavera P6 software; administering an enterprise level Oracle P6 system for a large construction program with multiple construction projects, design projects, users; performing cost load construction schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 software; performing data migration, Organizational Breakdown Structure, Enterprise Project Structures, Work Breakdown Structures for major construction programs; and candidate must have PMI Scheduling Professional (SP) certificationPreferred QualificationsWhat We OfferWe will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
