#jobs **What will you be doing in this role?** The Senior Reimbursement Analyst provides detailed, advanced financial and analytical support and helps improve the effectiveness of reporting, planning and forecasting activities to streamline processes and improve information to drive value.

Focusing primarily on the preparation of the annual Medicare/Medi-Cal cost report and other external governmental reporting.

Prepare and maintain schedules, logs and workpapers pertinent to these cost reports that will eventually serve as supporting documentation during audit.

Assignments may require interpretation of highly complex/sophisticated data, facts, policy and law and may introduce innovative approaches.

Serves as liaison to management between other financial service areas.

Handles a full range of project components in an independent and autonomous manner, recommends or implements corrective action.

Applies detailed knowledge of the areas of assigned responsibility, and an extensive knowledge of the department functions and its interrelation with the larger organization.

Works in close collaboration with all levels of management.

The Primary Duties and Responsibilities Primary duties and responsibilities in order of most significance are: + Responsible for the preparation of the Medicare/Medi-Cal cost report and supporting workpapers on a timely basis with quality output.

+ Ability to communicate and work with Medicare and Medi-Cal auditors, and other outside agencies.

+ Preparation of the IRIS reports (GME/IME FTEs) via GME software New Innovations, required for the annual Medicare cost report.

Ability to communicate with over 20 program coordinators and staff in the GME office on a regular basis to clear issues and overlaps.

+ Preparation of annual and/or quarterly reporting with OSHPD, COTH Surveys & TRICARE.

+ Preparation of annual NIH indirect cost rate and/or fringe rate proposal.

+ Prepare and analyze Medicare bad debt logs for cost report purposes.

+ Prepare and analyze Hospital Based Physician Time Studies for cost report purposes.

+ Preparation of quarterly Accounts Receivable Board package and slide presentation to be presented by our VP/CFO at board meetings.

+ Analyzes and interprets data, identifies trends and notable variances, and provide recommendations based on findings.

+ Completes other complex/special assignments.

+ Applies federal and state regulatory and licensing requirements, as well as organizational by-laws, rules and regulations, and policies and procedures to all assigned projects.

#Jobs-Indeed **Requirements:** + Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field required.

Masters Degree in relevant field preferred.

+ Minimum of 4 years financial analysis or financial auditing experience required.
