This role will lead new technology developments, program pursuits and executions.

The ideal candidate must possess overall aircraft rapid prototyping design, build and flight test experience and be willing to take ownership of assigned tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

This position is part of Integrated Vehicle Technology (IVT) team based in Huntington Beach, CA.

The focus of this team is to design and develop new technologies for integration into X-Plane rapid prototyping and demonstration activities in support of internal and external customer requirements.

The ideal candidate provides Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers.

As a Project Engineer you will apply your knowledge of aircraft rapid prototyping design and build experience to pursue and capturevariety of manned and unmanned system of system solutions.

Must be able to evaluate customer operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.

Must have the ability to write technical documents in response to white paper calls, RFI and RFP requests.

Must be willing to work across multi-site, multi-disciplinary team and provide mentoring tothe early career talents in the team.

Note: This role may require up to 20% travel to other Boeing sites and customer sites Position Responsibilities: Develops campaign and CRAD pursuit strategy with internal stakeholders in support of various customer requirements Leads proposal technical and cost volume development and project execution by identifying activities, resources, and tasks required to complete the work statement Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules.

Leads project execution to complete the work statement Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans Lead aircraft rapid prototyping designs and build projects from initial concept through detail design and flight test Lead planning, coordination, execution of detailed engineering activities across multiple programs, projects, and systems Facilitate recurring meetings, technical exchanges and reviews involving multiple internal and external organizations across multiple engineering disciplines Lead integration of technical parameters and activities to assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces Lead assessments and collaborative resolution of complex cross-functional technical issues amongst multiple diverse stakeholders Drives results through the development, implementation and maintenance of rigorous processes, tools, schedules and metrics Maintains current data and providing status on technical and schedule performance issues Complete lesson learned analysis and champion innovative and corrective actions to address lessons learned This position allows telecommuting.

The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location option.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.

Security Clearance for which the U.S.

Government requires U.S.

Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S.

Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 15 years of project or program management experience Experience building relationships with internal and/or external customers Experience with financial reporting Experience developing presentations and presenting to executive leadership Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Active Secret clearance Experience responding to customer RFIs & RFPs Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams Typical Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree and typically 20 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 18 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 15 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $176,800
