– Tukwila, WA Job Description Qualifications: Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Agent with a passion for Aerospace Products and Services to join our Supply Chain Contracting team.

This team procures goods and services in support of all Boeing Defense Programs and offers a unique opportunity to support and enable operations across many areas of the Boeing Company.The procurement agent will execute and manage contracts for a variety of products and services that range in value and complexity.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Issues Requests for Proposals/Quotes, performing proposal fact-finding and Price and Cost Analysis, developing negotiation strategies utilizing supplier cost & pricing data, contract terms and conditions and preparing contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Manages supplier performance to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and other key support to programs.

    In addition, the team will be responsible for driving for cultivating and maintaining the supplier relationship.

  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management.
  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.
  • Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Tukwila, WA.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • More than 3 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience negotiating directly with suppliers.
  • More than 5 year of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).
  • Experience resolving errors between supply chain systems such as GOLD, Mechanized Spares Management System (MSMS) or Network Procurement (NWP).
  • More than 5 year of experience in proposal development.
  • More than 5 year of experience negotiating non-competitive, government procurements that exceed the Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA) threshold.

Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g.

Master+13 years’ related work experience, 19 years’ related work experience, etc.) Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.

Travel: Position may require travel up to 20% of the time.
